A woman was taken to hospital after a crash outside a fast food restaurant near Sutton Coldfield.

The woman was driving a Volvo 4x4 when it hit the central reservation on the A446 London Road by Bassetts Pole and collided with a bollard.

An ambulance and paramedic support officer were sent to the scene with Warwickshire Police also in attendance.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “A 33-year-old woman had got out of the car prior to our arrival.

“She suffered back, shoulder, neck and hip pain. She was taken to Good Hope Hospital.”
