CHILDREN from North Warwickshire have been down on the farm as part of a new pilot project.

Youngsters from Coleshill Primary School visited Southfields Farm, off Packington Lane, after being invited by farmer John Plumb.

It is one of just five farms across the Midlands to take part in the scheme, which has been organised by The Child Safety Education Coalition and Farming and Countryside Education.

The project encourages children and farmers to take a more active approach to safety, with children asked to assess dangers and safe practices around animals and machinery.
