Kingsbury Water Park run

Athletics: Tamworth AC is staging its third Kingsbury Water Park run in July.

The 12km run for adults and 2km junior race take place on July 30. Visit www.tamworthac.org for more information.

Fitness Festival: Fun runners are being urged to sign up for a half-mile race in Tamworth next Saturday.

The run, which will raise money for charity, is being organised as part of the Tamworth Fitness Festival.

It is set to take place in the Castle Grounds at 9.30am on the day of the festival.

There will be prizes – including a day at Drayton Manor Theme Park – awarded for the best fancy dress worn by runners.

Entry, in advance, is £2 or participants can pay £3 on the day. The cost for children to enter on the day is £2.50.

Money raised will go to charities including St Giles Hospice and the Sharon Fox Cancer Centre in Tamworth.

People can also raise money with the sponsorship forms for their nominated charity.

Tennis: Spital Tennis Club is holding a half-term coaching camp over Whitsun.

The course takes place from Monday, May 30 to Thursday, June 2.

Sessions take place from 9.30am-12pm each day.
