Cocktail bar was like Sinatra's

I FEEL I must put pen to paper and tell you how enthralled I was with your authentic historic town of Tamworth.

For 1,400 years, Tamworth I believe was the capital of England. St Editha's Church also was a significant church, every brick steeped in so much history!

Why I write was to say the Wherever cocktail bar in Orchard Street, Tamworth, made my trip to the Midlands worthwhile.

The manager, DJ and all staff were so efficient.

It was Manhattan New York service, the cocktails made especially for me by the owner Andrew Welsh and the french fries with a garlic dip took me right back to Frank Sinatra's Bar in Manhattan, New York. A great night of good music also.

It was an unexpected find but I thank the people of Tamworth and surrounding areas for a good upmarket night out, good food, special cocktails and beer or spirit that made my trip to good old Blighty so memorable!

Tamworth I believe was a mining village with many now unemployed. But it is an excellent market with such friendly folk.
